What is a Groupon Claim Page?
A Groupon claim page is a public webpage where customers enter the Groupon code they purchased. Once they enter their code, they can redeem it for the appropriate ticket.
How Groupon Works with Leap Conventions
Leap Conventions does not have a direct integration with Groupon. Instead, Groupon distributes unique codes to its customers, which are redeemed on the claim page.
There are two ways the codes can be created:
- We generate codes and send them to Groupon for distribution
- Your team generates the codes and sends them to us to load into your event
Once the codes are loaded, customers go to the claim page and redeem them.
Adding Codes
If you need Groupon codes added to your event, we handle this for you.
If you would like to submit the request, please contact our support team. Here’s what we need from you:
- Set up the products in your event
- Create a Groupon-specific product category
- Create corresponding products for each of the Groupon/code types
- Ensure there is one spreadsheet of codes per Groupon/code type
- Provide a CSV file of codes
- The spreadsheet must be in this format > Include columns in this order: event_id, status, code, product_id:
-

- Download a CSV template
- Status must always be “0.” When a customer redeems their Groupon on the claim page, the system will automatically change the status to 1.
-
- The spreadsheet must be in this format > Include columns in this order: event_id, status, code, product_id:
Once received, our team imports the files and activates the codes.
