Use Dates Setup to control the key date ranges and messaging that determine when your event is considered “active” and when tickets can be sold in the Conventions platform.

Settings Explained
Ongoing Event?
Turn this ON for events that do not have an end date (for example, museums or ongoing attractions).
When ON, the platform treats the event as continuously on sale (your normal “event date” boundaries are effectively bypassed).
Date Written Out
A more user-friendly date label (example from the tooltip: “January 15–16, 2026").
This is typically what you want displayed in places where a “pretty” date is shown.
Event Dates
The start and end dates for your event. Think of this as the event’s official date window.
Ticket Sales Dates
Controls when ticket sales should begin and end. This represents the first and last day tickets are on sale.
If sales are outside this range, the ticket page will not allow purchasing (unless you’re using an invite code link—see below).
Sales Off Message
This message appears on the ticket sales page when sales are inactive.
Use this to tell attendees what to do next (example: “Online sales are closed. Tickets will be available at the door starting at 9:00 AM.”).
Sales Invite Code
Create a special presale / early-access code for buyers.
If tickets are inactive for the event, you can share the generated URL, and buyers can still purchase as long as there’s a code in this box.
The page shows a shareable link that includes ?inv=YOURCODE.
