An add-on is a grouping of products available for purchase. Although optional, add-ons can be used to offer exclusive items, incentivize purchasers with discounts exclusive to add-ons, and allow purchasers to customize their experience further.

Purchasers can edit their add-on selections in the 'Complete Order' step in Checkout; removing a parent product from the cart would remove all associated child products from the cart.
How to Create an Add-On
- In Product Manager, navigate to the product you'd like to use as the parent product for your add-ons
- This should be the main product you'd like to be the starting point for your purchasers. In the example throughout this article, the parent product is the “Backstage Pass”.
- Select the Add-ons Settings tab within the parent product
- Ensure the 'Use Product Add-Ons' toggle is enabled
- Select the child products that you would like to display as Add-Ons
- You also have a chance to set a Max Quantity per transaction.

FAQs
How do fees work with using an add-on?
Fees do not change based on whether a product is added as an add-on. The purchaser will see the corresponding fees outlined in their checkout.
What if I don't want a child product to display to the purchaser outside of the add-on?
We recommend creating the child products using the existing hidden category functionality.
How do vouchers work with add-ons?
You can still send a voucher for a product that has add-ons applied; however, the recipient would only receive the parent product. If you would like to include additional items with a voucher, we recommend using the bonus products feature.
How are add-ons different from bonus products?
Add-ons allow the purchaser to decide exactly which products they'd like, how many, etc. Bonus products are more structured in that whatever is included in the bonus product configuration, that's what they will receive. Add-ons also offer the opportunity to price things differently, whereas bonus products are free to the purchaser.
How do add-ons impact inventory?
Add-ons will respect inventory set at the product level for both parent and child products. We will display our standard 'Sold Out' and 'X Left' in both cases.
Note: If a parent product is sold out, the associated add-ons will not be accessible.
